Many psychotherapists “specialize” in a dozen or more areas of therapy. I have chosen to specialize in fewer areas so that I may concentrate my energies in greater depth. These areas are listed below.

Trauma
- Recovery from childhood abuse: sexual, physical, emotional
- Trauma from an accident, a medical or surgical intervention, domestic violence, victims of a crime, survivors of an act of war or a natural disaster, and more. Trauma can mean many things to many people. What is traumatic for one person isn’t always traumatic for another.
Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)
Dissociative Disorders
Chronic Pain and Illness
Depression
Anxiety
Anxiety can be the result of a traumatic event, a medical condition, or simply a biological predisposition. Anxiety is considered a disorder when it gets in the way of productive daily living.
Many of my clients find it helpful to use methods other than just talking in therapy. I have found that for those who are receptive, the following techniques have had beneficial outcomes:
Hypnosis
EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing)
DNMS (Developmental Needs Meeting Strategies)
Brainspotting
